Since 2019, Julianne Ballón Casement, LCSW has served as timekeeper (Jikki) for Empty Cloud Sangha’s silent retreats, a role previously held by Randy Wolbert, Rōshi. Julianne is currently Chair of the Scholarship Committee, a passion of hers and important to Marsha Linehan, Rōshi. She has been attending Empty Cloud Sangha Retreats since 2011 and is one of Marsha Linehan, Rōshi ‘s first Zen students. Since retiring from her full-time position as a psychiatric social worker, Julianne enjoys the Malibu surf with John, their chihuahua, Michie and Foo-foo the cat.
